Five Meaford entrepreneurs (an all-female squad this year) braved the Meaford Dragons at the 15th annual on November 9, wowing the Dragons with their plans and pitches. I was really pleased that two of my clients took the stage, and was stoked when Tracy Marsh of House ‘n Order came out on top.

Tracy runs an amazing professional organizing business in Meaford, and she hoped to expand her services (and provide community support) by getting the specialized training to help people living with disorders to organize and declutter their homes. Her pitch impressed the Dragons (who included Chris Herbert from MI6 Marketing Integration, Cathi Parrish from Royal LePage Locations North, Tim Fischer from Mentor Technologies, Darryl Hindle from Quench Buggy, and Shannon Fry from Pharmasave Thornbury Pharmacy) as well as the audience – she also received the Rotary People’s Choice Award. Way to go, Tracy!

myFavoriteMarketer contributed two prizes again this year; first- and second-place Slayers receive $500 each in digital marketing services, including website design. I’m also looking forward to working with Lisa Almond of Lisa’s Pet Grooming, who came in a strong second.

Christina Sheardown was back, too! Christina won last year’s event, and as a result, I helped her launch sheardowns.ca. Her website features a custom web menu (not a pdf), that Christina can easily update herself.

The other two contestants (Diana Simmons-Smith from Solo-Fit and Stefanie Peel from Le Pooch Boutique) also put on a strong, and brave, showing. Congratulations to all!
